This was definitely the most difficult design I tried to adapt - thus far! From his clunky shiny helmet to his colour scheme...I don't think there's ever a version of his costume that I've liked.

What I tried to do here is incorporate the well known design elements of Ant-Man, while keeping it as Marvel-Movie-Practical as possible.

- Thicker, ant-like armour for protection when shrunken down and in battle.

&

- A mouth piece that detatches itself from the neckline and forms around the head.

I kept his Giant-Man form out of this image as I plan to have a new base (sort of him kneeling down) in a future groupshot.

Awesome work. Yeah, Pym's never really had a costume that did his character justice. I think if they modernized the classic red and black it could work for him, espeically with added armor, but most designs tend to end up quite garishly ugly at worst, and generic at best.

Apparantly the movie version that was seen in the test-footage at SDCC was more in the direction of the irredeemable ant man.
